Short Biography

A native Texan, Dr. Crystal Broussard’s journey from personal weight loss to professional expertise has shaped her career in medicine. After earning her undergraduate degree from Lamar University and her medical degree from The University of Texas–Houston, she completed her family medicine residency in Conroe and began her practice in The Woodlands in 2005.

Inspired by her own personal and family history with obesity, Dr. Broussard found her calling in medical weight management. After losing 100 pounds following the birth of her first child, she developed a passion for helping patients take control of their health. She now specializes in safe, physician-supervised weight loss programs that emphasize sustainable, long-term lifestyle changes.

Dr. Broussard is board-certified in Family Medicine and became a fellow of the American Board of Obesity Medicine in 2012. She is also an active member of the Obesity Medical Association and serves on task forces to educate other healthcare professionals on treating obesity.

A recognized expert in the field, Dr. Broussard was featured as a medical expert for The Pink Method, a nutrition and exercise program for women that appeared on Dr. Phil and The Doctors Show. She also co-hosted the program’s infomercial, which aired nationally. Dr. Broussard continues to provide her weight loss expertise locally and nationally through various media outlets and telemedicine, while also dedicating her time to teaching medical students and residents how to effectively treat obesity.
